New Specialty Food Themed Soap Line!

So, I know I haven't said much about my desire to do high quality food themed soaps but it really hasn't been that far off. Part of my desire to do this has to do with blurring the line between food and art. All of the new soaps are one of a kind and many times are made using a similar process to food preparation techniques. Here are a few sneak peaks at some of the soaps.

Also, all of the soaps are high quality, vegan and animal cruelty free. I have been spending hours concocting ways to make interesting, unique and fun soaps. Also, did I mention that they smell and look like the real thing? My poor husband is truly freaked out by my desire to make all things into food.

I'm hoping to have a shop update tomorrow but I may very well be at the beach since Joel and I are both frighteningly white at the moment. None the less the shop WILL be updated before this weekend for SURE! Can't wait for you all to drool over the newest goodies.

Back in the saddle again!

So, after a lot of thought, a sprained ankle and the summer season I have quit my job slinging coffee and decided to devote myself to my business again.
I also recently got a display up in a local boutique - Lady Luck Tiny Smoke Boutique.

I'm also excited to say that I've been pumping out plenty of of new stuff including embroidered items and lots of new jewelry.

I know kind of a lame update, but hey, I'm kind of bad at the whole blogging thing.

Procrastination...

So, yesterday Joel and I went to Reno so that I could get what I needed for multiple projects I have going on Etsy right now. Before I did any shopping I decided it was time to rummage through my closet and sell some of my favorite, but much too small, clothing. I decided to start with jeans because I figured those would be easiest for me to part with. Seeing as there is now way I can squeeze into multiple pairs and because of that I have a growing pile of jeans that I hide in my closet, just in case I lose 20-80 pounds over night. So anyway I brought 5 pairs of jeans with me to sell 4 of them being super cute that just never fit me and one pair being a pair that me mom handed off to me that were middle-aged-house-wife jeans. I managed to sell the first 2 pairs at Plato's closet for $10.50. Not bad, considering the fact that I probably paid $100 for the 2. Yes, it stings but I can't exactly take them back to Abercrombie or Hot Topic with out the tags on them. Next I took the remaining three pairs over to Junkee Clothing exchange where I was offered $8 store credit or $4 cash, for the last 2 good pairs, one being Lucky Brand and the other I'm really not sure. So there went another $80 pair of jeans into the universe. Whatever. My closet has a little bit more space and I had a little extra cash to spend at Joann fabrics.

Anyway, now I need to go make a bag for someone so that I can once again under price myself in everything I do.

Sooo Tired!

So, I recently started a new job at a local coffee shop, The Java Hut. It's my fave place to get a jolt and now I get to work there, YAY!

So this of course has to do with why I haven't been blogging lately. I get up fairly early and am pooped when I get off...yarg! Tonight I'm going to be heading to my friend Lisa's for a girls night with her and few of our other girls. I'm dead tired but happy to spend as much time with her and my other girls, as I can, before they leave for a bike trip in the next few weeks. They are going to be gone for a month so I'll probably be pretty bummed and lonely until they get back.

Anyway, I may have some funny pics of us girls when I get home, but for now I don't really have anything interesting to show you! Sorry!

Just kidding. Also, I'm in no way Catholic.

I've just been really bad lately. I've been working on my blog layout and getting kind of frustrated with it, so I haven't had the patience to really post a blog.

First of all. I got a new job that i start training for this weekend. I'm very excited about it and I will probably be able to sell my stuff right there.


Second. I finally ordered business cards. I ordered them from www.moo.com. I ordered Mini Moos. I'm pretty excited about it since they are totally cute and will have my product photos on them.

Third. The dogs are having serious gas right now and it's giving me a headache. (Not that you really needed to know that or that it's all that important of information...it's just taking my concentration...ANYWAY!)

Fourth. We are still flip flopping on whether or not we are going to be doing the Kings Beach Snowfest parade this weekend or not. If we get paid it will be so. If not...I'm going to be a very unhappy camper and i will probably be working while it's going on.

So...the dogs farts are killing me...and I've been light headed today...awesome.

I also just finished a banana split ring for etsy/my mother in law. Here's some pictures of it...

Oh, yeah. And one of my artist friends passed away yesterday morning. I'm going to be in search of a photo of painting my face back when I was a kid. He was a well known carver and face painter. Bill Carson will be dearly missed.
